Job summary

LeoForce is seeking an Assistant Dean of Nursing in Sacramento, CA to provide academic and operational leadership for nursing education programs. The role partners with the Dean, supports faculty development, accreditation, curriculum oversight, and clinical partnerships to drive student success.

The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with nursing education or administration background and a strong focus on faculty development and student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field.
• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Completion of coursework in teaching, curriculum development, or educational administration.
• Experience in nursing education or nursing administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in nursing theory and clinical courses as needed.
• Support curriculum quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
• Review and maintain course content, syllabi, and LMS materials.
• Help ensure academic standards and student learning outcomes are achieved.
• Support implementation of evidence-based teaching practices.
• Assist with faculty onboarding, orientation, mentoring, and development.
• Support performance management, coaching, and professional growth initiatives.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote faculty engagement, retention, and continuous improvement.
• Provide academic guidance and support to nursing students.
• Monitor student progress and academic standing.
• Support initiatives to improve retention and completion rates.
• Participate in student success meetings and intervention strategies.
• Assist with course scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Support advisory board meetings and program committee activities.
• Maintain academic records and ensure policy compliance.
• Coordinate initiatives that support operational efficiency and educational excellence.
• Support accreditation reporting and site visit preparation.
• Monitor compliance with nursing education regulations and standards.
• Assist in developing action plans to improve student achievement metrics.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts.
• Stay current on nursing education regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to secure clinical training opportunities.
• Support relationships with healthcare organizations and community partners.
• Help ensure students receive high-quality clinical learning experiences.
