Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Dean of Nursing to lead academic excellence, drive student success, and oversee program growth within our nursing education department. This role partners with academic leadership to ensure curriculum quality, regulatory compliance, and accreditation readiness while optimizing resource utilization.

The ideal candidate will have an MSN, Idaho RN licensure, and experience in nursing education or academic administration.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Active RN license in Idaho required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• Experience in nursing education, academic administration, or nursing leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in nursing courses, including classroom and clinical settings.
• Support the delivery of high-quality nursing education through consistent curriculum implementation.
• Ensure course content, syllabi, and learning resources remain current and standardized.
• Promote evidence-based teaching practices and student-centered learning.
• Assist with faculty onboarding, mentoring, training, and professional development initiatives.
• Provide coaching, support, and performance feedback to nursing faculty.
• Help maintain adequate faculty coverage and efficient scheduling.
• Foster a collaborative culture focused on instructional excellence and student success.
• Support initiatives that improve retention, persistence, completion rates, and overall student satisfaction.
• Provide academic advisement and guidance to students facing academic challenges.
• Monitor academic progress and ensure adherence to institutional standards and policies.
• Participate in student success and intervention efforts designed to promote positive educational outcomes.
• Assist in the administration and daily management of the nursing program.
• Support academic reporting, program assessment, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure and maintain clinical placement opportunities.
• Participate in program planning, implementation, and evaluation activities.
• Support compliance with state nursing regulations, accreditation requirements, and institutional policies.
• Assist with accreditation preparation, self-study activities, and regulatory reviews.
• Monitor student achievement data and contribute to action plans that support continuous improvement.
