Job summary

Concordia University Irvine seeks a Director of Nursing Services to lead the ABSN program’s administration and clinical academic efforts, partnering with the nursing academic team to deliver a blended learning curriculum.

You will drive operational strategy for clinical, lab, and simulation activities, oversee staff, and foster retention initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality outcomes for students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years nursing practice.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience, including supervision of personnel.
• RN licensure in state of site locations and eligibility for RN licensure in state of educational partner, if required.
• Graduate degree in nursing or another related field from an accredited program.
• Three years didactic, clinical, or online teaching experience.
• Academic leadership experience.
• Nursing certification.
• Online teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Academic leadership experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management of clinical, lab, and simulation activities.
• Establish and maintain systems for measuring operational management and strategic development.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on operational issues and development plans.
• Manage direct reporting staff and ensure qualifications are met.
• Recruit, retain, and evaluate staff.
• Coach, mentor, and provide professional development for staff.
• Communicate with staff and act as liaison with university partner.
• Develop and maintain strategies to reinforce culture and values.
• Assist in budget and cost management.
• Provide clinical and academic guidance in problem-solving with partners.
• Collaborate with campus teams and departments.
• Fill in for lab, simulation, or clinical courses when required.
• Secure and manage inventory for activities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality management.
