Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia Hospital is seeking a Nursing Education Coordinator to cultivate lifelong learning in nursing practice. You will support development of quality, innovative continuing education activities, implement evidence-based practice, and evaluate ongoing learning needs and practice changes.

You will promote a shared leadership philosophy, design and evaluate orientation and ongoing education for nursing staff, and collaborate with the care team to improve outcomes and professional

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program. BSN required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Registered Nurse in State of Michigan.
• Certification in clinical specialty or educational area completed or active plans to pursue.
• Two years clinical nursing experience in identified or related specialty.
• Experience as an expert clinical resource to staff and educators.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of continuing education activities and evidence-based practice innovations.
• Support shared leadership model and professional practice in patient care services.
• Coordinate educational initiatives and activities across units.
• Evaluate and improve educational programs and learner outcomes.
• Present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Foster collaborative relationships with physicians, nurses and leadership.
• Flex work hours as needed to meet organizational needs.
