Ohio University Chillicothe invites applicants for an Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing available November 16, 2026. This is an 11-month, non-tenure track position teaching across associate and baccalaureate programs on the Chillicothe campus.

The role requires planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction with teamwork and governance involvement. A Master of Science in Nursing and an Ohio RN license are required, plus 3+ years of teaching experience.

Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
Active Ohio RN license (or eligibility) prior to hire.
Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience in the United States.
3+ years teaching experience in a nursing program.
Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.

Responsibilities

Teach core nursing courses such as Mental Health Nursing, Foundations, Pharmacology, and Medical Surgical Nursing.
Plan, implement, and evaluate instruction using diverse methods.
Engage in service activities within the School of Nursing and wider college.
Participate in School of Nursing governance and student outcomes planning.
