Job summary

Astrya Global is hiring a registered nurse for a 13-week ED assignment in Lewiston, Maine. The role involves delivering urgent and direct patient care, with potential extension. Schedule is 7:00AM – 7:00PM for 3 days with a travel-friendly compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years in ED, active RN licensure, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Orientation may be required. Housing and credentialing support are provided by the Staffing Team.

Qualifications

• RN with ED setting experience (2+ years)
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
• Valid state RN licensure without licensure issues
• Willing to reside outside 50-mile radius of the facility
• Up to 16 hours of unpaid orientation may be required

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process
• Assess patients at admission and during stay
• Administer IV medications and blood products as needed
• Provide patient education throughout care continuum
• Document nursing actions, teaching and observations
• Deliver emergency care in a full-spectrum ED including Chest Pain Center
• May assume charge nurse and preceptor roles as needed
• Maintain current certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS)

Pay Rate: $60 - $64/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ED for a temporary assignment in Lewiston, Maine. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a ED:

• Serve as an essential member of the patient care team responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process
• Assess patients upon admission and throughout their stay
• Administer IV medications, therapy, and blood transfusions as needed
• Provide patient education throughout the care continuum
• Document nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses
• Deliver emergency care services within a full-spectrum emergency center environment, including a separate Chest Pain Center
• Assume charge nurse and preceptor roles when needed
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Apply at least 2 years of ED setting experience to patient care delivery
• Maintain valid state licensure without hits or actions on license or background
• Reside outside of a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Complete up to 16 hours of unpaid orientation
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
