Job summary

USPI SurgCenter of Palm Beach Gardens is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead our team in an outpatient surgical setting. The role involves overseeing nursing activities, coordinating patient care across PAT, Pre-op, OR, Endoscopy, and PACU, and supervising staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes and efficiency.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, CPR and ACLS certification, and has 1 year of intra-operative leadership experience along with 3 years of OR circulating experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Currently RN licensed.
• CPR required; ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates nursing activities to ensure patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.
• Coordinates patient care including staffing across PAT, Pre-op, OR, Endoscopy, and PACU.
• Supervises clinical activities to ensure appropriate patient care and monitors efficiency.
• Coordinates with the Director of Nursing to communicate pertinent information to clinical staff.
• Assists in the orientation and training of new employees and participates in performance reviews.
• Participates in hiring, selection, and training of clinical personnel.
• Reports to the Director of Nursing and serves on the surgery center’s Leadership Team.
