Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living seeks an experienced Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations across the community. You will ensure safe, high‑quality, person‑centered care in alignment with regulatory standards and Cedarhurst policies.

You will oversee nurses, CNAs, and medication personnel while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. You will partner with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized service plans, drive quality assurance,

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a current active license is required.
• A minimum of three years of nursing experience is preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Experience in a senior living or healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficiency with digital tools and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of quality care in compliance with care plans and assessments.
• Lead the clinical team including nurses, CNAs, and medication technicians.
• Manage medications, ISPs, and infection control per policy.
• Engage with residents and families to develop service plans.
• Prepare for IDPH surveys and assist with corrective actions.
• Ensure regulatory readiness and documentation accuracy.
