Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Director of Nursing at West Hospital to lead two or more nursing areas, drive strategic direction, and align with system objectives.

You will supervise daily operations, mentor staff, manage budgets, and partner with the CNO to implement quality plans and improve patient outcomes.

This role requires BSN, MSN or related field within two years, 5 years nursing experience and 2+ years leadership in acute care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state they are working.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire.
• Certifications may be required based on units overseen (PALS/ACLS/NRP/TNCC/ENPC/NBC).

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of two or more nursing areas.
• Advises on and promotes strategic plan.
• Oversees cross-functional issues.
• Responsible for 24-hour accountability and coordination of units.
• Mentors nurses and serves as clinical resources director.
