Job summary

Director of Nursing - DON (RN) role in a Virginia-based facility. Lead nursing services, set goals and standards, and partner with center leadership to achieve overall objectives.

You will recruit, train and supervise nursing staff, coordinate care with medical, rehab, social services and activities, and evaluate programs to ensure high-quality patient care. RN license in good standing and LTC experience preferred are required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing with Virginia DHP.
• Five years of nursing leadership experience.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong commitment to patients, employees and care delivery.
• Ability to build and motivate teams.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Current CPR Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain nursing service goals and standards of practice.
• Participate in nursing department staffing (recruit, select, orient, supervise, evaluate).
• Collaborate with Administrator and leadership to meet Center goals.
• Coordinate nursing with medical, rehab, social services and activities.
• Administer and evaluate nursing programs to maintain patient care standards.
