Arbors of Ohio in Milford, OH seeks a Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the facility's nursing program and drive high-quality resident care. The DON will guide professional development, ensure compliance with clinical protocols, and manage daily nursing operations within budget constraints.

The role requires prior DON or equivalent supervisory nursing experience, a valid RN license in Ohio, and CPR certification, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid RN license in the state employed; CPR certification.
• Experience: Three years’ experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or equivalent supervisory nursing experience.

Responsabilités

• Plans and guides the professional development of nursing staff.
• Rounds on unit at least once daily and ensures compliance with clinical protocols and nursing policies.
• Develops and manages systems to assure clinical competencies and training needs.
• Performs hiring, discipline, and performance evaluations of staff.
• Plans and facilitates meetings and committees to address resident care issues.
• Develops department budget and monitors expenses to stay within budget.
• Investigates and resolves concerns from residents, families, and employees.
• Ensures timely pharmacy, dietary, and physician consultations are followed.
