Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking an experienced Nursing Leader to oversee our 24-bed adult post-surgical/oncology unit. This role emphasizes compassionate leadership, delivery of exceptional patient care, and building high-performing teams to advance clinical excellence.

You will partner with physicians and staff, manage resources and budgets, and drive evidence-based practice with a focus on safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year of leadership experience and 2 years of acute care nursing experience.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Certification: Basic Life Support via AHA upon start.
• Licensure: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Preferred: Oncology specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees assigned department or functional area to ensure it is performing effectively, including developing business strategy to achieve goals, ensuring legal compliance, coordinating with stakeholders, managing supporting team members, and budget responsibility.
• Ensures use of guidelines, standards and evidence-based practice in care delivery, producing quality patient outcomes and a safe environment.
• Serves as a primary liaison for the unit and ensures high-quality therapeutic care in an evidence-based setting.
• Acts as physician liaison and primary information resource for the unit, ensuring physician satisfaction.
• Maintains and monitors budgetary standards and utilizes resources effectively.
• Monitors patient/physician satisfaction and drives continuous improvement through evidence-based practices.
