Inova Schar Cancer Institute in the Washington, DC metro area seeks a dedicated Infusion Center Registered Nurse to join our Fair Oaks and Loudoun locations. This full-time day shift role is five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• BLS certification.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Virginia.
• 1 year of experience as an RN.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or ADN within 1 year of BSN completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead the unit to drive reliable quality, best practices and patient safety.
• Support unit-based governance and decentralized decision making.
• Serve as a role model delivering Service Always and prioritizing patient experience.

The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit. Embraces, uses and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit based shared governance and decentralized decision making structures and processes. Acts as a role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and in making patient experience a priority on units of responsibility. Minimum Qualifications:

• Certification - Basic Life Support; Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within 3 months of hire
• Licensure - Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Experience - 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Education - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or Associate's Degree RN within 1 year of completing their BSN)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous oncology experience
• Previous charge experience
