Regency at Jackson in Jackson, MI is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the nursing department, ensuring resident-centered care and regulatory compliance across clinical operations. The DON will drive clinical excellence, supervise nursing staff, and foster a culture of safety and staff development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Progressive nursing leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or related setting.
• Experience managing supervisors in long-term care, restorative, or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Knowledgeable in state and federal long-term care regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by RNs and LPNs and others under their supervision.
• Interviews, hires and trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work.
• Prepares performance evaluations and handles disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensures compliance with policies, laws, and timekeeping corrections.
• Oversees facility operations in the absence of higher management and uses independent judgment.
