Job summary

Longterm Health Management Services in Elizabeth, NJ seeks an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing operations at our Skilled Nursing Facility. You will ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and a culture of excellence.

The DON will supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, oversee staffing, implement policies, monitor outcomes, and drive QAPI initiatives while collaborating with physicians, therapists, residents, and families to support comprehensive

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in New Jersey.
• 3–5 years of nursing leadership in SNF / Long-Term Care / Rehab.
• Leadership roles such as DON/ADON preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regs, surveys, and long-term care operations.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage staff, budgets, and clinical programs.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and coordinate all nursing services within the facility.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including NJ DOH requirements.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Oversee staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and quality care.
• Monitor clinical outcomes and lead QAPI initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, department heads, residents, and families.
• Manage infection prevention and control programs.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely clinical assessments.
• Participate in surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections.
