Job summary

AdviniaCare Scallop Shell is seeking a Director of Nursing to plan, organize, and direct the Nursing Department in accordance with applicable laws and facility standards. The role ensures the highest quality of resident care and oversees QA, infection control, and MDS planning with the Medical Director and Administrator.

The position requires RN licensure, CPR certification, and at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare facility.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of supervisor experience in a hospital or nursing facility.
• RN with current, unrestricted state license is required.
• CPR certification is mandatory.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English clearly.
• Must work well in a team and support collaborative care.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement and direct nursing services in accordance with laws and facility policies.
• Coordinate with resident services to ensure continuity of care and quality assurance.
• Manage staffing levels and schedules to meet daily resident needs.
• Assist HR with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Support infection control and TB management programs for staff.
• Review nursing notes and monitor medication passes and treatments.
