Job summary

Aperion Care is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the Nursing Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards while directing daily operations. The role requires strategic planning, staff coordination, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of resident care.

The DON will oversee policy development, staffing, training, and collaboration with administration and medical directors to enhance overall care delivery and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisor experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or related health care setting.
• Registered Nurse with an active, unencumbered license in the state.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lead a team and coordinate care across departments.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, implement, and direct the nursing service and its programs.
• Develop policies and report to Administrator and Medical Director as needed.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services and QA activities.
• Assign staff shifts, ensure adequate licensed staff, and monitor care quality.
• Assist with MDS planning, discharge planning, and documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in safety/PI programs.
