Job summary

The Director of Nursing (DON) at Aperion Care oversees the Nursing Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local standards and delivering highest quality care. The role requires strategic planning, staff coordination, and continuous quality improvement across shifts.

Responsibilities include policy development, staffing, QA programs, and collaboration with Administrator and Medical Director to support resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must have, as a minimum, 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.
• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English language.
• Must be a supportive team member and promote teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department and its programs.
• Develop coordination with other resident services to ensure continuity of care and quality.
• Coordinate staffing levels and assign licensed nurses and CNAs for each shift.
• Support MDS/Care Plan coordination and plan updates with RAPs and Triggers.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure safety and infection control standards.
