Job summary

Pomona Vista Care Center in Pomona, CA is seeking a dynamic Director of Nursing (RN) to lead our clinical team and oversee the Nursing Service Department in alignment with federal, state, and local standards.

You will plan, organize, develop and direct operations, supervise staff, coordinate care plans, ensure accurate resident assessments, and participate in quality assurance activities to continuously improve resident care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term facility or other related healthcare facility.
• 6 months training experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• RN license in the state of California with no history of abuse.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities.
• Coordinates care and services, improves plans of care and quality of life for residents.
• Ensures proper assessment of prospective residents prior to admission.
• Conducts quality assessment and assurance activities, including regulatory compliance rounds.
• Develops staffing plans to meet direct care needs and ensure compliance.
• Ensures 24-hour nursing administration coverage and on-call access.
• Audits clinical records for accuracy and completeness of resident assessments.
• Leads interdisciplinary conferences to develop adequate plans of care.
