Job summary

Hill Valley Healthcare is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead our nursing department and ensure high-quality patient care across the facility. The DON will oversee clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and staff performance to support excellent outcomes.

The role emphasizes innovative care planning, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives to advance our mission and ensure a patient-centered experience for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state (Oregon) or eligible for licensure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred for leadership.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in long-term care or rehabilitation.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and quality improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to the nursing team and promote excellence.
• Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff and conduct performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement nursing protocols, policies, and procedures in line with standards.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Master’s degree preferred
