Job summary

BrightStar Care in North Houston, The Woodlands, Kingwood, and Humble seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical excellence across our growing home care team. An RN with leadership experience will guide admissions, plans of care, and staff supervision while ensuring compliance with standards and enhancing patient outcomes.

The DON will mentor clinicians, oversee infusion services, and collaborate with office leadership to maintain a culture of accountability and exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license required.
• Strong patient assessment skills and clinical judgment.
• Experience in home health, home care, infusion services, or related healthcare.
• Organized, detail-oriented nursing leader with coaching ability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient admission assessments.
• Review and approve plans of care.
• Supervise nursing and caregiver staff.
• Support the RN infusion team.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
• Oversee clinical record reviews and supervisory visits.
• Coordinate caregiver training for new client start-ups.
• Implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide ongoing education and mentorship to staff.
• Collaborate with office leadership to drive operational success and a culture of excellence.
