Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Nursing Department Assistant III to support the Orthopaedic and Spine Surgery unit at Lutheran Hospital. The role involves assisting with patient daily living activities, documentation, and basic clinical tasks on the 5D General Surgery unit.

Work days are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position offers exposure to an Magnet-recognized facility with world-class patient care, and opportunities to grow within a leading health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with ability to read and write clearly.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Responsabilités

• Assist with a wide variety of patient care tasks under RN/LPN supervision.
• Organize patient care assignments to ensure timely delivery of care.
• Document care provided in patient records and label specimens properly.
• Monitor patient pain levels and report findings to the nurse in charge.
• Maintain unit cleanliness and prepare rooms for admissions.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report any issues to nursing staff.
