Job summary

Sam Houston State University seeks a Specialist IV - Credentialing Specialist to manage credentialing for the School of Nursing (SON) community. You will coordinate with the nursing clinical coordinator, clinical partners, and faculty to assure timely credentialing for faculty and students across rotations and simulations.

You will maintain accurate data in credentialing systems, prepare reports and rosters for affiliate partners, and continuously improve credentialing processes in collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; two years of experience in recordkeeping, data tracking, or databases in nursing or related field; five years preferred.
• Commitment to student or customer-centered approaches and student success.
• A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and assure timely credentialing for faculty and student clinical rotations with nursing staff and clinical partners.
• Collaborate with clinical/simulation teams to schedule semester clinical and simulation sessions.
• Coordinate credentialing activities to ensure compliance with School of Nursing, regulatory, and affiliate requirements.
