Qualifications

• Doctorate in nursing or related discipline with a Master’s in nursing.
• 7–10 years of experience in education, program development, and teaching in baccalaureate or higher degree programs.
• President experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of health sciences higher education.
• Knowledge of recruitment, enrollment, and admissions processes.
• Experience managing in a matrix organization.
• Strong, open, and transparent communication skills.
• Evidence of scholarly achievement.
• Leadership and administrative skills.
• On-site presence required.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and leadership for all aspects of MCCN operations and educational programs.
• Develop and maintain an administrative organization to ensure effective management of the College and its resources.
• Model MCCN Mission and Core Values for students, faculty, staff, and the community.
• Develop a strategic plan aligned with Mount Carmel Health System’s plan and report on progress.
• Maintain institutional accreditation and diversity; represent MCCN to internal and external constituencies.
• Liaise with collaborating institutions and oversee reports to local, state, and national agencies.
• Ensure orientation and training of faculty and staff; oversee infrastructure and budget.
• Mentor and coach MCCN faculty and staff.
