Job summary

College of the Mainland seeks a part-time adjunct instructor to lead didactic and/or clinical CNA instruction. The role requires ongoing clinical expertise in Texas nursing practice, and the ability to translate real-world experience into engaging classroom and lab experiences.

Qualifications

• Evidence-based nursing knowledge to inform CNA instruction.
• Clinical practice in long term care or skilled nursing facilities.

• Strong communication and professional standards in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction within the CNA program and teach approved curriculum.
• Maintain scheduled office hours for student consultation.
• Participate in student orientation, instruction, and advisement activities.
• Coordinate safe patient care by students during clinical practicum.
• Maintain Texas Nursing Licensure and credentials; CPR/immunizations as required.
• Uphold academic and clinical standards and act as a mentor.
