Job summary

Lone Star College-Tomball is seeking a part-time adjunct nurse educator to teach Continuing Education courses in the Certified Nursing Aide Program. You will develop syllabi, instruct in class, lab, and clinical settings, and align with TDHHS and college requirements.

The role emphasizes assessment, timely feedback, and maintaining accessibility for students. Prior adult teaching experience is preferred; NY-based licensure knowledge is not required.

Qualifications

• Required RN or LVN license in Texas and teaching adult students is preferred.
• Commitment to student success and professional communication is essential.
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Continuing Education courses in the Certified Nursing Aide Program.
• Develops a course syllabus and follows institutional guidelines.
• Instructs students in lecture, lab, and clinical facilities; prepares for state exam.
• Evaluates students through tests and feedback; maintains office hours.
• Adheres to TDHHS requirements and college program expectations.
