Job summary

The Clinical Administrative Supervisor (CAS) at USC Keck Hospital oversees nursing resources to support safe patient care and efficient operations within the Nursing Department. The CAS works closely with nursing staff and management to solve problems and implement changes beyond the shift, coordinating interdepartmental activities as needed.

Required is a BSN with 3–5 years nursing experience; a Master’s in Nursing or related field is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred, or in progress (strongly preferred).
• 3–5 years experience in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Manages nursing resources to maintain and improve patient recovery in line with the medical plan of care.
• Maintains open communication with all individuals to meet USC mission and priorities.
• Guides problem solving with safety, customer satisfaction, and fiscal responsibility to achieve staffing objectives and patient processing.
• Coordinates staffing needs and communicates significant events through the chain of command.
• Role models and coaches staff, developing clinical, managerial, and leadership skills with fairness and consistency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
