Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a Nurse Manager responsible for 24-hour patient care accountability, operational efficiency, and HR management for assigned service lines. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• RN with CA license required.
• 3 years RN experience required.
• 2 years in management/charge nurse role preferred.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning and evaluation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement and patient care.
• Able to function independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly or indirectly supervise staff and oversee hiring, onboarding and performance reviews.
• Daily rounding with staff, providers, and patients to address issues.
• Monitor and evaluate quality and adequacy of patient care and programs.
• Investigate incidents and resolve complaints; coordinate with other departments.
• Ensure care aligns with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
• Contribute to policy formation, planning and budget management.
• Oversee budgets and purchasing; review trends with director.
• Coordinate staff education and schedule management; payroll.
