Avera Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Clinical Intern to join the Oncology team in Sioux Falls. You will perform nursing tasks under the guidance of a Registered Nurse mentor, contributing to a compassionate, patient-centered care plan.

The role supports patients and families, collaborates with the healthcare team, and follows established standards and policies as part of a multidisciplinary approach. Shift rotations include days/evenings/nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an ACNE/NLN accredited RN program and near completion of clinical coursework.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and health care teams.
• Demonstrated professionalism and adherence to nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under RN supervision, review prescriptions, and communicate care plans to the team.
• Document patient status and nursing interventions in medical records.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and safety standards.
• Support patients, families, and colleagues with information and resources.
