Job summary

Western Governors University is seeking Prelicensure Clinical Instructors (Hourly) for an on-site, Springfield, Missouri role. Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing; Education is verified.
• Two years minimum Nursing experience.
• Demonstrates ongoing advancement and success in roles requiring creative problem solving and collaboration.
• Unencumbered RN license.
• Active, unencumbered license in designated state.
• State and federal regulatory requirements and college accreditation requirements may apply to credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Act as a steward for carrying out WGU’s mission and strategic vision.
• Provide expert instruction in an assigned content area and maintain current knowledge.
• Foster student learning through innovative teaching in a clinical setting.
• Communicate professionally with students, coaches/preceptors and the WGU community.
• Collaborate with university professionals to promote a positive student-focused environment.
• Respond promptly to changing requirements and deadlines.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant state regulations and compliance.
• Conduct in-person and remote student evaluations.
