Job summary

Western Governors University is seeking a part-time, intermittent Clinical Instructor to teach and mentor nursing students in the College Station, TX region. You will oversee clinical placements, provide expertise in nursing education, and ensure students meet competency goals while coordinating with clinical partners.

The role is on-site with flexible shifts, including an overnight rotation as needed, and pays hourly bi-weekly.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing required.
• Unencumbered RN license required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills expected.
• Experience in nursing education or clinical teaching is preferred.
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines in a high-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Act as a steward for carrying out WGU’s mission and strategic vision.
• Provide clinical instruction in the nursing program in both on-site and remote settings.
• Supervise and mentor students during clinical placements to ensure learning outcomes.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with faculty and clinical partners to coordinate rotations and assessments.
