Western Governors University is seeking a Prelicensure Clinical Instructor for the Clinton, MO region. This on-site hourly role involves teaching and mentoring students during experiential clinical coursework, in both remote/onsite formats, and coordinating with coaches to ensure successful clinical placements.

Candidates must hold a Master’s in nursing, hold an unencumbered RN license, and have at least two years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing required.
• Unencumbered RN license active in designated state.
• Two years of nursing experience with demonstrated progression.

Responsibilities

• Act as a steward for WGU’s mission and student success in clinical settings.
• Provide expert instruction and mentorship in experiential clinical courses.
• Evaluate and support student performance during clinical placements.
• Coordinate with coaches/preceptors to discuss progress and concerns.
• Utilize technology-based platforms for teaching and evaluation.
