Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a dual-role Nursing Clinical Instructor - ONA who will split time between direct patient care and clinical instruction for nursing students. The position involves approximately 67% direct nursing responsibilities and 33% instruction, with opportunities to collaborate with academic partners and contribute to quality improvement

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited program is required.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit; Ohio APRN license required for advanced practice registered nurses.
• Two years of RN experience in relevant care setting; five years preferred.
• Doctoral degree or current enrollment in doctoral program preferred.
• Final candidates are subject to successful background check; drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and lead nursing care by other team members.
• Supervise student patient care delivery and evaluate nursing techniques.
• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegate and evaluate nursing care in alignment with the practice model.
• Mentor and supervise nursing students in real-time clinical settings and coordinate with academic partners.
