Job summary

University of California, Irvine, Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing is seeking a Clinical Education and Placement Manager. Lead and expand clinical education programs, secure affiliations, and coordinate student placements across RN prelicensure and DNP tracks.

You will liaise with students, faculty and external health agencies, support accreditation, and oversee data systems and program operations to enhance education infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health professions education industry, administrative analysis and operations research.
• Knowledge of department, HR and university policies and processes.
• Demonstrated leadership in training and guiding employees on educational techniques.
• Ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines in a complex environment.
• Effective communication with peers, learners, faculty and other education program coordinators.
• Ability to evaluate issues and propose solutions through critical thinking.
• Strong verbal and written communication to explain technical concepts.
• In-depth knowledge of educational software and technologies.
• Thorough nursing knowledge and how RN/APRN work in healthcare settings.
• Proven management and conflict resolution skills.
• 3–5 years in healthcare/clinical setting or healthcare administration

Responsibilities

• Identify new clinical sites and secure affiliation agreements.
• Coordinate student placements, onboarding, clearance, scheduling and compliance for clinical rotations.
• Maintain liaison between students, faculty, administration and healthcare agencies.
• Support accreditation efforts and community partner engagement/recruitment.
• Oversee database management, data evaluation and system implementation for clinical education.
• Contribute to finance, HR and long/short-range planning for clinical placement activities.
• Collaborate with program directors for RN prelicensure programs and DNP to align curricula.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
