Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD seeks a Nursing Clinical Director to lead the clinical education component of the School of Nursing.

This role oversees placements, simulations, and skills experiences to ensure ethical, compassionate, and student-centered nursing practice aligned with Catholic values. The position partners with clinical faculty and preceptors, coordinates across courses, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports student readiness for professional nursing.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Eligibility for Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical education experiences across nursing courses, including clinical placements, skills labs, and simulation.
• Develop, maintain, and evaluate clinical partnerships with healthcare agencies and community organizations.
• Recruit, orient, support, and evaluate clinical faculty and preceptors.
• Monitor student clinical performance and support remediation or intervention plans as needed.
• Ensure clinical experiences meet program outcomes, accreditation standards, and Maryland Board of Nursing requirements.
• Teach clinical and/or didactic nursing courses as assigned based on program needs and qualifications.
