Job summary

Galen College of Nursing seeks a Director of Clinical Learning to oversee clinical experiences across all nursing programs by negotiating and evaluating site partnerships, ensuring alignment with curriculum outcomes, accreditation standards, and state board requirements.

Reporting to the Dean, the DCL will lead faculty placement, scheduling, and evaluations; foster collaboration across campuses; and advance high-quality, diverse clinical experiences that support student success.

Qualifications

• MSN required; Doctorate preferred.
• Unencumbered RN licensure in the applicable state required.
• Minimum three (3) years of clinical education experience required.
• Academic leadership experience preferred.
• Academic nursing certification preferred.
• Established relationships with clinical facilities and professional nursing organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical experience evaluation findings and apply to improve student outcomes.
• Collaborate with leadership to support teaching, learning, scholarship, and service; oversee faculty scheduling and workload.
• Interview and hire faculty and staff in alignment with college standards; manage 90-day and annual evaluations.
• Facilitate communication among theory, lab, simulation, and faculty; supervise clinical faculty.
• Execute and maintain clinical affiliation agreements; negotiate clinical partnerships and resources.
