Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Clinical Coordinator for Nursing to manage student clinical placements, schedule coordination, and faculty mentoring within the nursing program. The role emphasizes collaboration with community sites, curriculum support, and leadership in clinical education.

The position involves teaching responsibilities, program development, and occasional emergency coverage of classes, with expectations for ongoing professional development and compliance with licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license in the practicing state.
• Master's degree in nursing or BSN required for Practical Nursing programs.
• Minimum of two years nursing practice experience.
• Ability to lead change and improve program quality.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Successful completion of background check, drug screening, immunizations, CPR and HIPAA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate student clinical placements with community healthcare agencies.
• Develop and maintain schedules for didactic, lab, and clinical sessions.
• Orient, mentor, and evaluate adjunct/clinical faculty.
• Attend faculty and program meetings and participate on committees.
• Contribute to strategic and fiscal planning for the nursing program.
• Provide emergency coverage of didactic and clinical classes when instructors are unavailable.
• Teach in the nursing program as assigned by the Dean/Director of Nursing.
