Job summary

Pine Grove Manor seeks an experienced Admissions Coordinator to manage admissions guidelines, market programs, gather applicant information, screen applicants, and complete the admissions process with a focus on smooth transitions for residents.

The role involves developing census and quality mix by providing prospective residents or responsible parties with information and assistance, while maintaining strong referral networks and ensuring accurate paperwork and insurance verification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience, particularly in health care services desirable.
• Familiarity with long-term care and/or health care services useful.
• Presents professional image through appearance, behavior and speech.

Responsibilities

• Maintains admissions guidelines and updates admissions criteria, policies and procedures.
• Markets programs and facilities by providing information and conducting tours for prospective residents or referrals.
• Handles inquiries by walk-in or phone, and collects information for admissions and rates.
• Ensures financial verification is complete before admission to reduce accounts receivable.
• Screen prospective residents against admission criteria and refer to other programs as needed.
• Resolves resident/family concerns by investigating and addressing issues.
• Keeps knowledge of served markets, origins, and major referral sources.
• Assists census development by contacting referral sources.
• Manages incoming inquiries as needed based on sales model.
• Uses clinical inventory to evaluate admission suitability and coordinates with hospital hospital discharge information; verifies insurance coverage; signs paperwork with families at admission; documents resident details.
• Sells private transition days to current residents.
• May assist Administrator in following up with families after admission and discharge to ensure satisfaction; addresses complaints promptly.
• Other duties may be added or changed without notice.
