Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Manager of Patient Care Services for the Float Pool. You will lead a nursing unit or specialty, while coordinating staffing, scheduling, and performance management to ensure high-quality 24/7 patient care.

This role partners with the Director of Nursing to implement acuity-based staffing plans, monitor outcomes, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor clinical staff. A BSN, 5 years of leadership experience, and Arizona RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• 5 years of relevant nursing/healthcare experience with leadership.
• Current AZ RN license and BLS certification.
• Additional certification may be required per department.

Responsibilities

• Manages staff: interviews, hires, trains; evaluates performance.
• Oversees 24/7 patient care operations.
• Assists in department budget management.
• Implements staffing plan with DON.
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance.
• Supports case management and continuity of care.
• Investigates complaints/incidents and corrective actions.
• Maintains customer service and quality metrics.
