Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg Float Pool Days. You will coordinate patient care planning, perform direct nursing tasks, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety.

The role requires hospital experience, BLS, AZ RN licensure, and strong assessment and documentation skills. Day shift, full-time with opportunities to work across units as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of direct patient care and critical care procedures.
• Skill in reading 12-lead EKG.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals.
• Strong communication with staff, physicians, and families.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate patient documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and evaluates outcomes.
• Writes/obtains nursing histories and develops care plans.
• Reviews shift reports and conducts rounds.
• Notifies physicians of unusual events requiring consultation.
• Maintains aseptic technique and administers medications as ordered.
• Educates patients and families about care plans.
