Qualifications

  • Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Experience as a Nurse’s Aide in a hospital or Nurse Aid training certification preferred.
  • Enrollment in a BSN program at the junior year level can substitute.

  • Measure and record vital signs such as temperatures, pulses, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Provide direct patient care and support under the supervision of registered nurses.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for patients.

Nursing Attendant - Pediatric Oncology - Full Time - Nights

Provide compassionate patient-focused care and perform select duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Measure and record vital signs such as temperatures, pulses, respiration, and blood pressure. Demonstrate teamwork and elevate patient care standards.
This is a full-time night shift position, 11:00 pm - 7:15 am, 5 shifts per week, every other weekend, located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.
Required Criteria
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association is required
Must meet one of the following:
  • Previous Nurse’s Aide experience in a hospital setting
  • Certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program
  • Current enrollment in a BSN program - at the junior year level and/or completion of at least one clinical practicum

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
