Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Part Time Evening Nursing Attendant for the Med Surg Float Pool at the Queens location. You will support bedside care, monitor vitals, assist with meals, and transport supplies under RN supervision.

This role requires previous Nurse’s Aide experience or approved certification, completion of orientation, and on-site presence. The schedule is 3pm-11pm, 18.12 hours per week, bi-weekly. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Previous Nurse’s Aide experience or equivalent in hospital setting.
• BLS certification from AHA is required.
• HS Diploma or Ged required; Nurse Aide training certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient‑focused care and perform select duties under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Measure, monitor and record temperatures, Pulse, respirations and blood pressures.
• Ensure timely delivery of meals and safe patient transport within the unit.
• Demonstrate teamwork with Nurses, Technicians and other care professionals.

Provide compassionate patient focused care and perform select duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure, monitor and record temperatures, pulses, respirations and blood pressures.Ensure the delivery of meals and safe transport. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.

This is a Part Time Evening position (3pm - 11pm; 18.12 hrs/wk; 5 shifts bi-weekly) at the NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens location.

Required Criteria:

• Previous Nurse’s Aide experience or equivalent in a hospital setting; or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aide training program, or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum
• BLS from AHA
• HS Diploma/GED
• Must be able to complete mandatory 2 week orientation Monday - Friday from 8AM - 4PM upon hire.
