Provides direct patient care services such as assisting patients with activities of daily living, including eating, bathing, ambulating, and eliminating. Obtains and documents vital signs and specimens as required.

The Nursing Attendant is a team member dedicated to providing high-quality care and services to patients by assisting in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment; supporting dietary care; facilitating communication (e.g., answering phones); transporting patients; and assisting visitors. As an integral part of the team, the Nursing Attendant promotes patient-focused care within the Patient Unit.

Education, Training & Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred.

Effective written and oral English communication skills.

Graduate of a State Certified Program or 1-year clinical experience as a nursing student/foreign graduate nurse.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
