Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking an Assistant Patient Care Manager for our 2 North ICU. This leadership role oversees daily nursing operations, mentoring staff and ensuring high-quality patient care.

You will support clinical issues, drive department and organizational goals, and supervise inpatient care with a focus on best practices and patient safety. The role requires a Florida RN license, BSN (or BSN in progress with Associate degree), ACLS for critical units, and specialty certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of state accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• BSN required; an Associate Degree with BSN in progress to be completed within two years.
• ACLS designation required for BMT, SCU, and Telemetry units.
• Current Florida RN license.
• Certification in area of specialty preferred.
• Current provider designation in BCLS.

Mentors, serves as a resource, and provides support for staff and faculty on clinical nursing issues while meeting the department, nursing, and organization goals. Oversees clinical care performed by assigned nursing staff. Training/Experience: a) Minimum three (3) years nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting b) Demonstrated leadership experience preferred c) Oncology experience preferred Education: Education: Required: Graduate of state accredited nursing program. B.S.N. OR an Associates Degree with B.S.N. in process to be completed within two (2) years of initial enrollment date. Preferred: Masters in Nursing Licensure/Certification: a) Current Florida RN license b) ACLS designation required for BMT, SCU, and Telemetry inpatient units c) Certification in area of specialty, required. d) Current provider designation in BCLS Additional Skills: Strong computer skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Advanced nursing skills; IV therapy, intervention with emergencies, teaching skills. Demonstrated competency in in-patient and out-patient best practices including patient care, technology, and processesSalary Range$108,492.80 - $165,422.40Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role.
