Doctors Hospital of Laredo in Laredo, TX is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide safe, patient-centered care under the direction of a nurse or physician. You will be an active member of the Nursing Team, contributing to service excellence across the unit.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CPI de-escalation training within six months, and BLS. Pre-employment assessments may be required; healthcare vocational training is a plus.

Job Summary

Provides safe, competent patient-centered care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The certified nursing assistant provides care under the direction of the registered nurse or physician. Participates as an active member of the Nursing Team on the assigned unit/department. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED

Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

• Completion of healthcare vocational program preferred.
• Successful completion of fundamentals semester of nursing school preferred

De‑scalation training (obtained CPI within six months of employment) in required specialty.

BLS (or obtained during orientation)

Prefer experience in acute care setting.
