Qualifications

• Master’s in Nursing Administration or BSN with relevant experience.
• 3+ years of nursing experience with 2+ years in admin/supervisory roles.
• Valid New York State RN license and current registration.
• BLS certification may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all patient care and operational activities in respective departments.
• Provide managerial and clinical links between the nurse manager and department direction.
• Assist physicians and staff in assigning admissions and transfers.
• Monitor employee performance relative to patient care and nursing practice.
• Facilitate staff participation in professional development activities.
• Evaluate staffing plans and ensure adequate staffing to meet patient care needs.
• Collaborate with peers and Nurse Managers to improve patient experience.
• Develop staffing plans based on patient acuity and census.
• Respond to concerns or inquiries from patients and family members.
• Maintain regulatory requirements and compliance with organizational policies.
