Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• BLS certification upon completion of the Will-Train program.
• Completion of Cape Cod Hospital Nursing Assistant training program and competency exam.

Responsibilities

• Participates in nursing process during delivery of patient care.
• Assists in providing nursing care and collects data under RN direction.
• Participates in implementing care plans under RN supervision.
• Attends unit staff meetings and mandatory programs (minimum four per year).
• Adheres to safety and blood/body fluid policies and procedures.
• Updates knowledge of techniques and regulations relevant to patient age group.
• Represents hospital and maintains confidentiality while promoting hospital services.
• Delivers service excellence to patients, families, visitors, and co-workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Computerized Nursing Informatics.
• Assists in orientation of other personnel to the unit.
