Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Includes classroom curriculum with an accredited Nursing Assistant Program.
• Includes on-the-job training and successful completion within 6 months of hire.
• Transfer to Nursing Assistant Grade S7 after program completion.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the nursing process during delivery of patient care.
• Assists in providing nursing care and collects data under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Participates in implementing a formal plan of care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Attends at least four unit staff meetings per year and mandatory programs.
• Adheres to safety, blood/body fluid policies and procedures.
• Represents hospital in the community and maintains confidentiality.
• Provides service excellence to patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and coworkers.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
