Job summary

Avamere Keizer Court in Keizer, OR is seeking a Nursing Assistant-Unlicensed to provide routine daily nursing care under licensed nurses’ supervision. The role supports residents for up to 120 days after completing the Nursing Assistant program and collaborates with the care team to uphold care plans and resident well‑being.

The position requires you to assist with daily needs, document changes, and contribute to a warm, respectful environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from a Nursing Assistant program in the state where the position is located.
• Active CPR/BLS certification is required during employment.
• Demonstrates compassion and a passion for resident well‑being.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care according to the care plan under supervision of licensed nurses.
• Review and update resident care plans as needed with the nursing team.
• Assist residents with personal needs and daily activities.
• Maintain a warm, calm environment and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Support mobility, meal prep, and transportation to appointments as required.

Job Summary

The primary responsibility as a Nursing Assistant is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the residents’ assessment and care plan under the supervision of licensed nurses for up to 120 days of graduating from the Nursing Assistant program.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

• Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes.
• Review resident care plans daily to determine if changes in the resident’s daily care
• routine have been made on the care plan.
• Inform the nurse supervisor of any changes in the resident’s condition so that
• appropriate information can be entered into the resident’s care plan.
• Assist residents with daily needs, including preparation for activity and social programs, and transporting residents to/from appointments.
• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and foster a calm and cheerful environment.
• Ensure residents’ rooms are ready for receiving and help residents feel comfortable.
• Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
• Effectively communicate necessary resident information to charge nurses, director of nursing, and/or administrator

• Graduated from a Nursing Assistant Program in the State this position is in.
• Must maintain and have active CPR/BLS during employment
