Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living in Keizer, OR is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care to residents under licensed supervision for up to 120 days after program graduation. Responsibilities include reviewing care plans, assisting with daily activities, and maintaining a warm, calm environment while communicating changes to nursing staff.

Requires completion of a Nursing Assistant program and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a Nursing Assistant Program in the state where the position is located.
• Must maintain active CPR/BLS during employment.
• Possess passion for caregiving and enhancing residents' quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Check residents routinely to meet personal care needs per their wishes.
• Review care plans daily to reflect changes in routines.
• Inform the nurse supervisor of changes to update the care plan.
• Assist residents with daily needs and transportation to appointments.
• Create a warm, patient, enthusiastic environment.
• Ensure rooms are ready and residents feel comfortable.
• Participate in facility surveys by government agencies.
• Communicate resident information to charge nurses and administrators.

Job Summary

The primary responsibility as a Nursing Assistant is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the residents' assessment and care plan under the supervision of licensed nurses for up to 120 days of graduating from the Nursing Assistant program.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

• Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes.
• Review resident care plans daily to determine if changes in the resident's daily care routine have been made on the care plan.
• Inform the nurse supervisor of any changes in the resident's condition so that appropriate information can be entered into the resident's care plan.
• Assist residents with daily needs, including preparation for activity and social programs, and transporting residents to/from appointments.
• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and foster a calm and cheerful environment.
• Ensure residents' rooms are ready for receiving and help residents feel comfortable.
• Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
• Effectively communicate necessary resident information to charge nurses, director of nursing, and/or administrator

Requirements

• Graduated from a Nursing Assistant Program in the State this position is in.
• Must maintain and have active CPR/BLS during employment
